EQUINE BODY WORK
Massage sessions offer muscle relaxation, increase circulation and improve stiffness and range of motion for increased level of performance. Great for pre and post performance sessions!
COLD LASER THERAPY
Achieving promising results in a range of therapeutic applications to reduce swelling and inflammation, assist the body to speed healing time and to enhance lymphatic drainage. Pre-game sessions increase performance. Cold laser therapy assists in the treatment of:
- acute tissue damage and soft tissue injuries

FITNESS TESTING AND CONDITIONING
A properly conditioned and fit horse will be less susceptible to soreness, subluxations, respiratory issues and injury to soft tissues, such as ligaments, tendons and muscles. Assessments are done with a heart rate monitor to determine current level of fitness, gauge peak heart rate and recovery time. From there we can create and monitor a conditioning program specific to each horse. Components include:
- interval training
- adequate warm-up and cool-down periods
- stretches and varying the type of activity to help condition all systems of the equine athlete
TRAINING AND LESSONS
Darrel Weerstra has competed successfully in the team roping arena for many years. Darrel is passionate about instilling fundamentals in both horses and ropers, keeping it simple and correct from the beginning. He is available for lessons focusing on team roping basics and takes outside horses for training.
